Creating an account
Step 1: Access the Hostel Days Homepage

Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Hostel Days website. You can do this by entering the URL in the address bar or using a search engine.

Step 2: Locate the "Sign-Up" Button

On the top right corner of the homepage, you will find a button labeled "Sign-Up." Click on this button to proceed.

Step 3: Click "Sign Up Here"

After clicking the "Sign-Up" button, you will be directed to a new page. Look for a link or button that says "Sign Up Here" and click on it.

Step 4: Fill Out the Required Information

You will now be presented with a registration form. Complete the following fields with accurate information:

- Student ID: Enter your unique student identification number.

- First Name: Provide your first name.

- Middle Name: If applicable, enter your middle name.

- Last Name: Enter your last name.

- Gender: Choose your gender from the provided options.

- Contact No: Input a valid contact number where you can be reached.

- Email: Enter your email address. Make sure it's a valid and accessible email.

- Password: Create a strong password. Ensure it meets any specified password requirements (e.g., minimum length, special characters, etc.).

Step 5: Hit "Register"

After filling out all the required information, review it to ensure accuracy. Once you are satisfied, click the "Register" button. This action will submit your registration details to the system.

Step 6: Check Your Email for Confirmation

- After successfully registering, the Hostel Days system will send a confirmation email to the email address you provided during registration. Check your email inbox (and possibly your spam folder) for this email.

- Open the confirmation email and follow any instructions it contains to verify your registration. This step may include clicking a confirmation link.

Step 7: Log In

- Return to the Hostel Days homepage after confirming your registration. You can do this by navigating back to the website or using the homepage link provided in the confirmation email.

- Click the "Log In" button, which is usually located in the top right corner of the homepage.

- Enter your registered email and the password you created during registration.

- Click the "Log In" button to access your Hostel Days account.

You are now logged in to the Hostel Days management system and can access the features and functions available to you as a registered user.

How to book a room
Step 1: Access the Hostel Days System

Open your web browser and visit the Hostel Days website.

Locate the "Hostels" tab at the top of the website and click on it.

Browse and select the hostel you want to book, then click "Book Now."

If you already have an account, proceed to Step 3. If not, follow the instructions in Step 2 to sign up.

Step 2: Sign Up (If You Don't Have an Account)

Click on the "Sign-Up" button on the top right of the homepage.

Fill out the required information, including Student ID, First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Gender, Contact No, Email, and Password.

Click "Register" to create your account. Check your email for a confirmation message and follow any instructions provided.

Step 3: Log In

After creating an account or if you already have one, click on the "Log In" button.

Enter your registered email and password.

Click "Log In" to access your dashboard.

Step 4: Book a Hostel

Once logged in, locate the “Book Hostel" tab on the dashboard and click on it.

Step 5: Select Booking Details

On the booking page, you will need to provide various details:

Room Type: Choose the type of room you want.

Room Group: Select your preferred room group.

Room Number: Choose your desired room number.

Period: Specify the duration of your stay.

Fill out the emergency contact information, guardian relation, and guardian contact number.

Step 6: Invite a Roommate (Optional)

If you want to share the room with a roommate, click the "Invite Roommate" button.

Enter your roommate's details, including their email address.

Your roommate will receive an email invitation with instructions on how to book the room together with you.

Step 7: Submit Booking

After entering all required information and, if applicable, inviting a roommate, click "Submit" to confirm your booking.

Step 8: Payment

You will be redirected to the payment page.

Enter your bank information and authorize the payment by clicking "Pay Now."

Step 9: Confirmation

Once your payment is successful, you will receive a booking confirmation.

You can return to your dashboard to view your booked room.

Congratulations! You have successfully booked a hostel using the Hostel Days system. You can now prepare for your stay in the chosen hostel.

How to submit a maintenance request
Step 1: Log In to Your Account

Open your web browser and navigate to the Hostel Days website.

Click on the "Log In" button.

Enter your registered email and password.

Click "Log In" to access your dashboard.

Step 2: Check Room Booking

Ensure that you have already booked a room before proceeding with a maintenance request. You can only submit a request if you have an active booking.

Step 3: Access Maintenance Request Section

Once logged in, look for a section or menu item labeled "Maintenance Request" on your dashboard. Click on it.

Step 4: Fill Out Maintenance Request Form

In the maintenance request section, you will find a form to fill out:

Request Title: Enter a brief but descriptive title for your maintenance request (e.g., "Leaky Faucet").

Request Body: Provide a detailed description of the maintenance issue. Include relevant information such as the location of the issue, the severity, and any other important details.

Upload Picture: If applicable, you can submit a picture of the maintenance issue. This can help maintenance staff better understand the problem.

Step 5: Submit the Request

After completing all the necessary information on the maintenance request form, review it to ensure accuracy.

Once you are satisfied, click the "Submit Request" button.

Step 6: Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation message indicating that your maintenance request has been successfully submitted. This message may include a reference number or confirmation details.

Step 7: Tracking Your Request

You can track the status of your maintenance request from your dashboard. Typically, you will see updates as the request progresses, such as "In Progress," "Completed," or "Pending."

Step 8: Follow-Up

Be patient while the maintenance team addresses your request. Depending on the nature of the issue, it may take some time to resolve.

If there are any updates or changes to your request, you will be notified through the system or via email.

And that's it! You have successfully submitted a maintenance request through the Hostel Days system. This process allows you to report and address any maintenance issues in your booked room to ensure a comfortable stay.

How to submit a room review
Step 1: Log In to Your Account

Open your web browser and visit the Hostel Days website.

Click on the "Log In" button.

Enter your registered email and password.

Click "Log In" to access your dashboard.

Step 2: Confirm Room Booking

Ensure that you have already booked a room before proceeding with a room review. You can only submit a review if you have an active booking.

Step 3: Access Room Review Section

Once logged in, look for a section or menu item labeled "Room Review" on your dashboard. Click on it.

Step 4: Select a Rating

On the room review page, you will be prompted to select a rating for the hostel. You can rate it from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest). Choose the appropriate rating based on your experience.

Step 5: Write Your Review

In the "Review Body" section, write a detailed review of your experience in the hostel. Share your thoughts, experiences, and any insights you want to provide to other potential guests.

Be honest and specific in your review to help future guests make informed decisions.

Step 6: Preview Your Review

Before submitting your review, take a moment to review what you've written. Ensure that your rating and written content accurately reflect your experience and thoughts.

Step 7: Submit Your Review

After confirming the accuracy of your review, click the "Submit Review" button.

Step 8: Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation message indicating that your room review has been successfully submitted.

Step 9: View Your Review

Your review should now be visible on the hostel's information page on the website. Other potential guests can read your review to get insights into the hostel's quality and your experience.

You've successfully submitted a room review, and your feedback can help future guests make informed decisions about the hostel. Your honest and detailed review is valuable for both the hostel and other users of the platform.

How to book a tour
Step 1: Access the Booking Page

Open your web browser and visit the Hostel Days website's homepage.

Look for the "Book a Visit" option, typically located at the top right of the website. Click on it to begin the booking process.

Step 2: Select Your Hostel

On the booking page, you will see a list of available hostels. Choose the one you want to tour by clicking on its name.

Step 3: Choose the Date

After selecting your desired hostel, you will be prompted to choose a tour date. Pick a suitable date for your room tour by clicking on the calendar or date picker.

Step 4: Provide Tour Details

In the "Tour Notes" section, you need to include all the necessary information required for the tour. This information usually includes:

Contact Information: Provide your name, email, and phone number to ensure the hostel can get in touch with you.

Room Selection: Specify which room or type of room you would like to tour. Be as specific as possible.

Tour Availability: Indicate the specific time or range of times you are available for the tour on the selected date. This helps the hostel staff schedule your visit.

Step 5: Submit Your Request

After filling out all the necessary tour information in the "Tour Notes" section, review it to ensure accuracy.

Once you are satisfied with the details you've provided, click the "Submit" or "Request Tour" button to send your room tour request.

Step 6: Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation message that your room tour request has been successfully submitted.

Step 7: Wait for Confirmation

The hostel staff will review your request and get in touch with you to confirm the details of your room tour. They may provide you with a scheduled time for the visit or ask for any additional information if needed.

By following these steps, you can successfully book a room tour through the Hostel Days system, allowing you to explore the accommodation options before making a reservation.
